God is good. Always and through all things. We may find ourselves in places we never expected or situations we never wanted, but it’s all for God’s perfect purpose.
In Ezra 1 we see the beginning of the end of the Israelites’ exile in Babylon. They waited seventy years, and God finally made it happen.
1 In the first year of King Cyrus of Persia, the Lord fulfilled the prophecy he had given through Jeremiah.

Where are you today? Have you made it through or are you still in exile? In any case, find encouragement and comfort in the fact that God is there. He is at work. He might have even put you where you are now. But when you get to the other side of it and see what God has been up to, it will be clear: God is good.
