Week 6 (April 3-9)
“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.”
Revelation 7:9
You will be the minority in heaven. Let that sink in. The picture of heavenly worship that John writes about in Revelation is one where people of every color from every nation, every tribe, and every language will be gathered to worship God together.
John Piper writes that, “Missions exists because worship doesn’t.” The reason we support missions work is because we want to play a part in ensuring that people from every corner of the earth will join us in worship before God—we have a role to play in seeing the promise of Revelation 7:9 fulfilled.
This week, let’s pray for our brothers and sisters around the world—especially those who live in danger because of their profession of faith in Christ. Let’s pray and ask the Lord to reveal to us our part in one day seeing worship exist where it currently does not.
PRAY AND ACT
Pray for the various missionaries and mission projects that VCBC supports. Also, prayerfully consider how you might be able to contribute to the annual Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. 100% of contributions designated to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering go toward funding missionaries and missions work in North America.
